Mekong River Commission

The Mississippi River Commission has a MOU with the Mekong River Commission. The MRC will be hosting the Mekong Commission delegation to the U.S. June 4-14, 2011. The Mekong Commission includes Foreign Ministers of the Lower Mekong Countries: Cambodia, Lao PDR, Thailand and Viet Nam. The U.S. State Department and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and MRC are the U.S. participants.

The purpose of the MOU is to share common interest in water resources development and management while implementing independent missions to promote and enhance the use of effective water resources development and management policies in their respective geographical regions.
